 1. About NFC Design Navigator

NFC Design Navigator is tool for NFC tag antenna design on web
  [Support browsers]  Chrome / Firefox / Safari / IE 9 or more

Initial screen has three area
1.Tag antenna design (LEFT)    2.R/W Setting (CENTER)    3.Function and result (RIGHT)

 2.1 About each area
The function of each area is shown as follows:

1. Tag antenna design
[Auto]:         A suitable antenna is designed automatically
[Custom]:   An antenna with setting antenna parameters by manual is designed
2. R/W Setting
Selecting "Reader/Writer" ("Original R/W" can be select) , if you would like to simulate a specified device, please contact us
3. Function and result
"Custom" shows Selection of LSI, Magnetic field strength and communication distance,Creating PCB design data for supporting design
"Auto" shows best design antenna

Note: Selecting LSI on "Custom", before starting design by "Auto"
 4. Tag antenna design [Custom]

 4.1 About Display
Manula design screen is displayed by selecting [Custom] on left
Select necessary tab on right and design anntenna

2. Selecting "Reader/Writer" ("Original R/W" can be select) , if you would like to simulate a specified device, please contact us
3. Following functions can be used
 •  LSI Sel.
 •  Calculation result of communication distance are shown
 •  Displaying parameter dependence graph for max. distance
 •  Demo (The magnetic field strength and the communication distance of the moving antenna are shown by image)
 •  Creating PCB design data
 •  The setting parameters are saved and loaded
 4.2 Magnetic field strength and communication distance [Mag. Field]
Antenna design is possible with confirming Magnetic field strength and communication distance
The calculation of resonance capacity is possible.

1. Setting antenna parameter by slider or "→","←" keys
The resonance condenser can be changed In "Parameter", it is possible to adjust parameter with checking the parameter dependency graph of the distance
3. The inputted parameters of antenna are shown
4. The magnetic field strength and communication distance which are depended offset (X,Y),distance (height) and rotaion (α,β,γ) are shown
5. Resonance condenser and calculation result of communication distance are shown
6. Displaying distribution of magnetic field strength and distance graph 7 (Clicking "Yes")
 4.3 The definition of rotation of α,β,γ [Mag. Field]
The definition of rotation of α,β,γ as follows:

8. Hovering the mouse over "i", the information of α,β,γ rotation is shown
 4.4 Parameter dependence and adjusting method [Parameter]
Note: Selecting LSI on "Custom", before starting design by "Auto"
Adjusting the parameters with dependence of the distance

1. The graphs are updated by clicking "Recalc."
2. Displaying the resonance capacity dependence graph
3. Displaying the shape dependence graphs of tag antenna
4. Setting resonance capacity
 •  Auto:
 automatically setting  (The resonance capacity for the antenna shape is set.)
 •  Specified      :
 the resonance capacity is set by manual
 (If resonance capacity is not matched, the communication is not worked)
 4.5 Demo[Demo]
The distribution of magnetic field strength and the communication distance of the moving antenna are shown by graphic
 (Three dimensions displaying is possible by browser which supports WebGL, Chrome is recommended.
 Other may be necessary to set WebGL)

1. For displaying motion of Tag by three dimensions, setting the check box to "ON"
2. Clicking the check box of parameters which is moved
3. Setting start, stop and speed of demo
Note: Three dimensions displaying is not worked on browser which does not support WebGL, please refer to "Troubleshooting"
 5. Tag antenna design [Auto]

    LEFT:Auto

 5.1 Automatic antenna design
Design antenna automatically, the result can be used by functions like "PCB" or "Save/Load"
When "Custom" is selected

1-1. Selecting "Yes" or "No" on specified max. antenna size
1-2. Lx and Ly are specified when selecting "Yes"
1-3. Clicking "Calc."
2. The current status is shown by the progress bar , the calculations in the process are shown by clicking "Display"
3. After end of calculation, Tag antenna parameters and communication distance are shown The graphs of distance dependency of Tag antenna parameters ("Width", "Gap", "Lx,Ly" and "Thickness") are shown
4. Clicking "Accept", Tag antenna parameters on "Custom" are updated
Note: By auto w (Width) is limitted to 3.0mm
Note: g (Gap), t (Thickness) are used each value which is shown in sliders on "Custom" of "Tag antenna design"
 6. PCB[PCB]

 6.1 Creating PCB design data
Create PCB design data from designed antenna

3. Selecting button of sample data to output
Note: Currently, you can not select options other than "Antenna" for all types.

 7.1 Save and re-use design data
By saving design data, it can be used other time

1. Writing setting data
The text data are copied and pasted into a file
2. Reading setting data
2-1 The saved data are copied and pasted into the area
2-2 Clicking "Load" button

Before using our products
